That sounds fabulous! I'm behind on Lou's show. His shows are so hard to catch up with.

Grin, I know what you mean! I do like his show, but sometimes it get can get a touch long... My favourite podcast is WDW Today. The guys there have the same irreverant love of Disney that the DIS Unplugged team have; they all love the place and can't keep away, but aren't afraid to point out the problems too. Their "Eat Your Way Around World Showcase" episode is pure magic and should become an annual event IMHO.

By the way, if you listen to all three, pay attention how each podcast reports the same story.

Case in point would be the stroller rental price hike. DIS Unplugged and WDW Today both had basically the same "What the **** is that about, you could hire a car for less" attitude. However when it was mentioned on WDW Radio Show, Lou mentioned the prices as facts but declined to make any editorial comment against Disney on the subject. On the other hand he does get some great guests onto his show for in-depth discussions and interviews, so it all makes a nice balance.

I agree. it seems like you get quite a spectrum. I mean absolutely no disrespect to anyone on any podcast but the way I see it, in the most general terms is:

Lou Mongello: The Ultimate Disney Fanboy. He can put a silver lining around any Disney cloud (e.g., doesn't complain about extreme increase in stroller rental cost). However, this allows him to stay in Disney's graces and get the best interviews with Imagineers and Disney Legends which leads to the listener getting a tremendous amount of insider information.

Dis Unplugged: Although you have a wide range of experiences and opinions on the show, it seems that if there was an overarching theme, it is "consumer protection". All of you clearly love Disney, referring to it as "the happiest place on earth" or a place where "dreams come true", but your first concern is always that Disney costs real money and you are critical when you believe Disney has gone to far (e.g., your outrage at the stroller price increase). Also, your love of Disney makes you critical of attractions that you think are subpar. I think fans of this podcast truly appreciate that you are critical of all things Disney (and I mean critical as "one who offers a reasoned judgement or analysis", not as one who is negative).

WDW Today: The most cynical of the three. Offers opinions that range from the most scientific (Len) to the most emotional (the two Mike's) to what is quickly becoming an insider's view (Matt's). My favorite comment on the stroller price increase comes from this show: "it's cheaper to rent a car!"

Like I said, these are broad generalizations, but I listen to all three and the reasons above are the reasons I do listen.

All the time I'm listening to the other podcast, all I can think about is "can you turn that down a little?"

I tried Lou's podcast the other day and this is exactly how I felt. I was totally distracted by the music!

I listen to all three (Dis, Lou's, & WDWtoday) for one reason; they're all grammatically much different. With that in mind, I think it would be fascinating to hear the Dis team interview Lou or the WDWToday folks. Nice summaries. I'm glad to hear that the DIS podcast is similar to my beloved WDW Today. The uber-fan stuff gets to me after a while.

Yikes just done a count and excluding non Disney podcasts realised I'm subscribed to over 20 Disney related audio and video podcasts.
I 'm loyal to the DIS having listened from the very first shows. But also like the mix of the husband and wife team, single presenter, roundtable, invited guests, background or no background music, ride through attraction etc.
I've never been to any other park apart from Disneyland Paris. But love to hear, also about Disneyland and Walt Disney World along with Disney matters outwith the theme parks.

Disney New ones (I keep here until they prove they are sticking around): 13

plus extinct ones I keep subscribed in case they come back and my other interests (theme parks/coaster, development, music, podiobooks, etc) Doppler shows 241 feeds subscribed

I have not really gone through to see how many on avg I get a week, as some only produce shows weekly, some daily, some very infrequently, etc. but I usually have 12-18 hrs in my queue, as I listen to some more come in.
