Does anyone know of somethings we can do with a 7 month old and a 7 year old other than Disney or other Theme Parks? We are staying 7 days but planning on 3 days at Disney.

I lOOOOVE Cape Kennedy Space Centr, but maybe that's the science nerd in me. I loved it better than the one trip to the MK when I was a kid. There is also a great state park near orlando, can't think of the name, with a natural spring pond for swimming. So pretty and refreshing. Downtown Orlando is fun, Church Street Station has some neat restaurants, shopping, and street preformers. There is also a nice children's science museum that would be fun (ok I admit, I was a science teacher before a SAHM, lol) I know that a lot of people like the everglades, and it is neat, but I have a baby too, and just can't go looking at alligators with her, I'd be paranoid.

A picnic at Lake Eola with swan boat rental

They have a good childrens/science museum

Gatorland

Swamp Boats

Outlet shopping (not so much for the kids though)

Baseball/Basketball games depending on the timing

Putt Putt golf

Church Street Station

I used to live in ORL and honestly NOTHING compares to Disney. However, you can't just do NOTHING, right? So...

I second the outlets and putt-putt. There are tons of cool putt-putt places. Also, there is some stuff on I-drive like Ripley's Believe it or Not. But my 2 favorite places are Downtown Disney...sometimes there are special events down there, too. AND Celebration. Celebration has a festival type-thing every month. So, there's always something fun to do there. And if not, you can rent bikes and/or NEVs to ride around town.

Just my 2cents!

 There is something else in Florida besides WDW? :confused3 I didn't know.

Church Street really isn't anything anymore-just a few restaurants. I haven't heard anyone call it "Church Street Station" in years.

And Lake Eola is swarming with homeless -not a great spot.

SAD! :sad2:

Guess it depends on where you are staying for those 7 days.

My last 3 trips have been with large family groups so we've had the luxury of a home with a private pool...so we always veg'ed out at least one day and played in the pool.

We usually spend a day at Downtown Disney...eat at the Rainforest...maybe rent a boat.
It's quite pricey...IMO...but you all would love Cirque Du Soleil.
You could drive to a beach for the day one day...we usually go to the Daytona Flea Market and then spend a couple of hours on the Beach up in Ormond...then eat some seafood at Sweetwaters...check out some beach shops.
