I recevied a Christmas Card today (Augu 28) from a friend out west. We exchange Christamas and birthday cards and that's about it. But getting her Christmas Card a good 3.5 months early seemed extremely odd!

Until I read the last line... when she wished me a great 2013!?

Then I checked the postmark... December 10, 2012. Yup!:thumbsup2
Good ol' Canada Post!

There are days when I wonder how they do their jobs RIGHT.

I've had two packages returned to sender because apparently I don't live at my own address. Three more have simply disappeared in the mail.

And I've only lived at my new place a year.

I don't normally on line shop, but I was looking for a hard to find bag, so I did last week.

Canada Post says it was delivered last week. I have one of those super mail boxes where they leave a key in your mail box, for the package box. I imagine they left the key in the wrong box and some got a free bag.

Now I get to dispute the charge with AMEX.

Good ol' Canada Post!

At least you got your mail! Better late than never:laughing:

I mailed a letter to a friend in Montréal and she never got it. This was probably about 9 years ago.......

My mom mailed some pictures to a family friend like 30-some years ago....they never got it either.......

I never get magazine subscriptions reliably! I'm sure the Posties are just sitting around reading my Car & Driver.

I got a bday party invitation arrive in the mail 3 months later!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be fair, my friend put the wrong postal code on it. But still! 3 months????

I have a frustrating, but slightly funny Canada Post story.

Back in May of this year, a friend of mine mailed me a cheque for some money she owed me (from an expensive concert ticket). She sent it by regular letter mail since we only live a 1.5 hour drive from each other, thinking it would only take a couple days to arrive...

One week later, I had not received the cheque. She mailed me a 2nd one. A week after the second cheque was mailed,it had not come, and neither had cheque #1. 2 weeks later, cheque #2 was returned to her. She mailed out a 3rd cheque. One week later, cheque #1 FINALLY ARRIVED!!!! and we have no idea what happened to cheque #3!! Way to go Canada Post! It took you one month to drive one piece of letter mail 1.5 hours! :rotfl::confused3

I keep getting mail for a house on the neighbouring street ... Same civic number though, so I guess that's close ;)

Me too!

I always deliver their mail to their house, although I've never met them because they never seem to be home. It makes me wonder though if my mail ever ends up at their house. What do they do? Maybe they just toss it.

I've wondered the same thing!

I get the neighbours mail all the time! Maybe that's where my magazine went...
