OT - Where to stay in Montreal?

This is totally off disney topic but we are taking our kids to Montreal to watch the Habs play a hockey game and we are looking for a nice hotel within walking distance to the bell centre. If anyone has any suggestions on other things our kids may enjoy doing in the Montreal area please feel free to give them, we are going in March.

Depending on your budget, I think you can't go wrong with either the Bonaventure Hotel (http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/YULBHHF-Hilton-Montreal-Bonaventure-Quebec/index.do) or the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth (http://www.fairmont.com/queenelizabeth/).

Both these hotels are downtown and very nicely situated.

Go Habs! I second the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth--we have stayed there many times, and thoroughly enjoyed each occasion. I believe the Bonaventure is quite good as well. Likely the closest hotel to the Centre Bell would be the Marriott Chateau Champlain--haven't stayed there since it was a Canadian Pacific Hotel, back in the day.

The Sheraton- Centre. Across the street from the bell center and the Metro station. What a gorgeous hotel.

I agree with the Sheraton - I've stayed there on business and happened to be there the weekend the Habs qualified. Man were the streets crazy!! Fans were all over the place, cars honking their horns, screaming fans...it was a zoo. Sheraton is gorgeous!!

All the hotels mentioned are very close and within walking distance to the Bell Centre. The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth is one of the more expensive options, but it's a Fairmont and the Rooms and service are worth the price.

Not sure old old your kids are, but here are a few options near the Bell Centre;
-The Planitarium
-Indoor Skating Rink (atrium-le-1000)
