OT-Where do you download music?

Hi Guys,
I currently have i-tunes, but I've been told I can't download i-tunes to an
MP3 player.
What music site do you use? I am looking for a legal one that I can use an MP3 with

I used iTunes for years on various music players before having an Apple iPod.

The problem maybe you're not using an mp3 encoder. The default setting for iTunes is the ACC encoder, I Believe

Try the info below

• Edit-upper left hand corner
  [*]Preferences
  [*]Advanced
  [*]Importing

Import using: There is a drop down menu that will let you choose between different encoders. Select what your preference is. I suggest mp3 if you would like to use and mp3 player

Okay, I just checked out the MP3 setting on i-tunes. So I can change it and download to an MP3 that way!!!
Thank you sooooo much for that info!!! We have used i-tunes for awhile now and have collected quite a few songs, so now we can listen to them somewhere else besides the computer!

Select all the songs that are not mp3-right click-convert to mp3. No reason to rip all your music again.

Does anyone here know how to take an old record album and convert it to the computer... I have lots of records that you can't get on CD and I want them in my ipod.. anyone know?

The easiest way (if you have a bunch) is to buy a unit at somewhere like Best Buy or the Source. You plug your turntable into it and then plug the unit into your computer. I think it also comes with recording software. You can then convert your files to mp3 of ipod-compatible.
