Chatting with a friend the other day and she said how crowded it was at spring break last year. She meant the roads, shopping malls etc. I'm sure some locals must want to get out of town when that happens. I just wonder where Floridians go on vacation?

LOL - I'm sure they don't come to Canada!

I have many friends that live in Florida..they LOVE to cruise and also enjoy New York City trips as well as the East Coast (Boston etc):confused3

Not a Floridian, but we lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 3 yrs.

Yes, they love to cruise; The Islands, East Coast (Martha's Vinyard etc.) and Europe.

My dd was born there, to bad we no longer qualify for that local Florida discount.

It's funny I ran into a couple who showed up at our DVC. they were just relaxing around the pool and said they were from south florida and wanted a good place to stay a couple of days and and that a resort here didn't get much better than this.. I think he may have paid 250.00 or more to stay per night. So I started feeling pretty good about our DVC and had to agree. :goodvibes

I am amazed at how many come to visit Stratford in the summertime and plan their vacation around taking in some plays at the Shakespearian theater. I always see Florida plates on a daily basis.

They also like short breaks at the Florida beaches..we used to own a condo on St Petes Beach and they would come for long weekends. We had to stop allowing that though and make it a 1 week minimum as they would pretty much trash the place, I guess they partied hard when they did!:confused3

We're are booked on a cruise next year but we haven't done Stratford in a long time. I think it's time to check it out one more time!
