:) Help requested - Opinions on best games for adults please!!
(adult games :scared: for the wii I mean - this IS a :scared1: family board! )

:rotfl2:

I am in love with the Wii Fit!!!! That is about all I play, everyday.....it's soooo much fun!

My husband absoultly loves Tiger Woods Golf. I have the Agetha Christie Mystery game. I guess it all depends on what type of games you like. My husband and I also like to play the game Playground where we can beat up each other with dodge ball and other school yard games lol. We also have a Wii Fit which I did faithfully every day this summer not so much now but will next week.

I knew about the wii Fit and am looking forward to it - but I knew NOTHING about the golf or AGATHA Christie! How cool is that, I love mysteries.

Does anyone have NHL? That sounds fun too.

Thanks everyone!!! Please keep the ideas coming. :surfweb:

DH and I are planning to get a WII and the Fit program as a gift for us this Christmas. Hope to get in better shape for all the walking next year. Do you fell the Fit program is a real work out program?

The Wii Fit is fun and I also like Mario Kart and Rayman Ravin Rabbids. I use to like Mario Party but the latest version isn't very fun. I'm also waiting for Zelda to go on sale and try that one out.

Has anyone tried Cooking Mama?

Hmm... I think it would depend on what your fitness level is. I think it's fun but it's not a substitute for actually getting in some cardio (ie. running, biking etc.) and going to the gym. I work out with a trainer on a weekly basis and it's nothing like the workout on the Wii Fit.

We have the Mario Kart and sports bundle that came w/ the console. I saw Cooking Mama @ Target but wasn't sure about it so didn't buy it. After reading about wii fit and Agatha Christie I want to get both. LOL. And I think the NHL game might come for Christmas. { :

Leslie Sansone has excellent walking dvds. I swear by them, especially when the weather is too nasty to walk outside. She has them online, at WalMart, or sometimes @ Costco - earlier this year she had her 5 mile dvd boxed set w/ the hand weights etc. for a great price @ Costco. You can sometimes find her walking books in the bargain section @ Chapters.

I want to set daily/weekly/monthly walking goals before our next trip.:thumbsup2
I.e, a daily goal might be walking 2 miles which equals walking through all of Epcot. Then ten miles for the week would be equivalent to walking all 4 parks. Anything to stay motivated.:rotfl2:

Mario kart hands down is our fav here. Love being able to race 'online' with people from all over.

We have Mario party too but not too impressed with this version. wii fit is fun and we really haven't found many other games that are always played with - other then the golf on the wii sports - might have to get dh the tiger woods golf for cmas.

Recently picked up Mario Cart with 2 steering wheels. Shockingly the DW loves it, caught her one night playing the Wii on her own.

We also like Wii Sports, Wii Play and I like some of the FSP games.

Article speculation about Wii HD in 2011.

are there any other games that are compatible with Wii Fit? I saw the We Ski game that states it is, but wonder if any others?

Are you talking about Wak Away the Pounds? I really like them...

I'll agree with many of the games people have already talked about....

My DH and I really like the Wii Fit.

He also loved the Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Galaxy. The reason I say loved is he's already completed both games!

We also both really enjoy Mario Kart, particularly with the wheel. And if you hook it up to the internet you can play against your friends and people all around the world. Tons of fun!

We have NHL2K9 and it's fun. I'm not so good with video games and I find it a little tricky to pass, but my DH didn't have any problems.

I also love SSX Blur, which is a snowboarding game.

Last but not least, on November 11th Wii is coming out with Star Wars lightsaber duels. You use the Wii remote just like a light saber. It wouldn't surprise me if they even come with one of the special attachments to add to the remote. So while I can't say yet that this is a good game, I think anyone who likes Star Wars, or at least pretending to do lightsaber battles, will enjoy this one.

I love our Wii!!!!!

I agree with all plus we have My Sims....it is simple to play......you build houses towns etc....a very simplified version of the Sims. I can spend hours at it...no exercise with this one tho;)

...the whole family loves wii sports, Zelda, and Mario Galaxy......there are a few we didn't like but will have to dig them out as I don't remember their names.....

Wow!! :thumbsup2 What great input and feedback, thanks.:flower3:

Wii Fit and Mario Kart sure are popular. Looks like we'll have to get wii fit.
We tried Mario Kart last night, very fun but cornering makes me ill. I've always had that problem w/ driving games on video.

Ham Ham - your DW and DD are both gorgeous! What a great picture.

Toronto Gal - YES! WATP, is right. Leslie is so motivating. I'm doing WW & am down a few lbs already btwn counting points & using Leslie's dvds. (although I did NOT count points @ WDW, lol, the free dining didn't do too much damage)

Chai Latte - SSX? Snowboarding? That sounds awesome! Do you get the true sensation of boarding?

Thanks Maggie!!! My sister says it's crazy how much fun the Sims are, lol.
I'd love to know which games you did NOT like, that's helpful too.

xoxoxo

We love Golf, Snowboarding and the one where find the matching Mii's...find the sleepyhead etc and the shoot the balloons one too and our new fav as corny as it is is Carnival Games....pretty basic but we are addicted...they suck us in just like the real ones at the stampede heehee:goodvibes

okay...dug out games...
Didn't like Tom Clancy Splinter Cell Double agent and Redsteel...found both games very hard to move controller...lots of shooting etc...these are adult killinng war type games and we find those type easier to play with xbox.

I can't believe I forgot about Wario Ware Smooth Moves!!. This game is a LOT of fun, our family fav...you have to do all these moves with controller..things like keeping it on your palm and balancing a broom on screen.. slapping your thigh with it while dancing, dropping it . picking it up, putting it on your nose and pretending your an elephant etc..it is hilarious and you can play in teams...we have videotaped family members playing 'cause it is so much fun to watch....

also have Elebits...it is a shooting at screen where you zap liitle electrical critters and there is a story line as well...fun but challenging...

Harry Potter is fun too..especially when flying:cool1:

Sims Castaway.....fun and challenging...closer to the real Sims....if you don't take care of them they get annoyed with you etc.....

GT Pro Series...racing game, up to 4 players so fun for family..not too hard at easy setting for me...really fun with steering wheel....

I have been so busy on these boards I haven't played with our Wii in awhile...now I want to...

I really want to get Wiii fit but it is always sold out around here.....

At our house, we love My Sims, the Mario games, GT Racing (DS 8, knocked a tooth out playing it ), Guitar Hero.
We also like Wii Sports, and Wii Play.

Maggieb, for hard to find games, you should try the futureshop website.
I had a hard time finding Guitar Hero in the spring, but found it on their website, and the shipping was less than $2.00, and it arrived within about 3 days of ordering.

Forgot about Guitar Hero..we all love that too...
Thanks re Future Shop...will keep checking their website..I do for awhile and then forget! FS is our fav store...

We love our Wii Fit. I do 1/2 hour of cardio (10 min hula hooping, advanced step *2, 10 min boxing) and then strength exercises and finally the yoga exercises that pair with the strength I did for that day. Basically 1 hour per session, 4 sessions per week.

I'm also doing Weight Watchers points system along with it and have lost 14lbs in two months and am looking much more toned.

I've had a personal trainer at the gym and the Fit is no different than that... provided you are doing 10 - 15 minutes of cardio to warm up and then strength training exercises (with proper form), followed by 5 - 10 minutes of yoga to cool down. I still get an awesome workout.

Jillian Michael's (biggest loser trainer) Fitness Ultimatum comes out at the end of this month (to be used with the balance board) and I can't wait to get that one. :)

We also play Outdoor Adventure and Wii Sports with the kids. Mario Kart is our fun 'couch' game. ;)
