OT: Twilight movie

Looking at the website -Kids in Mind- might help you decide.

It will describe anything that would be questionable for children - sex, violence/gore, profanity and substance use. It uses a rating system (1-10) for each category (10 being the worst).
Twilight was given a 4 for sex, 7 for violence/gore, 2 for profanity.

It is a very useful site for parents.

There was mention of sex later, but mostly to mention the detail of how strong a vamp is compared to a human. Her body was bruised and the headboard was broken and the pillows were shredded. But this is not in the first movie or first book. In the first movie she meets Edward, figures out he is a vampire, and then...The lion fell in love with the lamb...goodvibes

There is a lot of stuff in the movie that is not in the book, but it still is a great movie and I have watched it 7 times now... I read all 4 books in a little over a week. I could not put them down!!!

Cannot wait intil 11-20-09 for New Moon to come out!!!

I just finished the last book of the House of Night series and those too are great books if you really love those vampires!!!

The sex happens in book 4 and I did read it before I let my dd read it who was 13 at the time. I found it okay, perhaps a little more mature then the other books. The first 3 books are all fine.
