OT Trip Guilt

I have trip guilt and just wondered if anyone else if had it?

I have trip guilt because of my family, my brother has made some bad choices lately and cost us all alot of money. It has been really hard on my grandparents, he had to move in with them.

I guess I just feel guilty because this is our second trip this year and my family has taken on his money burden. I have done all I can to help.

I know I have worked hard and saved for this trip, I just feel bad thinking about my grandparents spending all their money on him.

I have begged them to quit helping him, I know alot of us have people like this in our families.

I just needed to vent my guilt!!!

UNFORTUNATELY you are correct we all do seem to have those type of ppl in our families!
I would not cancel or even delay my trip! Its your money you earned it enjoy it and have a great time spending it. Its unfortunate that your grandparents have assumed this burden but they did assume it. Sorry to be so blunt about it but I know how IMPORTANT my vacations are to my wife and me and can only assume yours are to to you as well.

Me and my boss were talking about the same thing a few days ago.... every family has problems and in the end all our problems are almost the same but with diffrent players... But i don't think you should feel bad, and i don't think you should postpone your trip either, you have all tried to help and your right at one point you will have to walk away (not saying that nows that time), but no matter what you probley need this trip to have a break and recupe!!! Don't feel bad, theres only so much you can do and this will refresh you for when you return back home!! Enjoy your break

I think we do all have the same issues with different players. We are in the same boat right now with my sibling. My father has been pretty much sucked dry and it has really taken a toll on him. Here's the good part, DH and I decided to take his DM and my DF to WDW(we are paying for everything) and have all been talking and planning. My sibling is jealous of the fact that we are going and if we bring it up, tries to make us feel guilty for not including them! It isn't working LOL

I say GO GO GO! Have a great time and try to use the time to regroup and get some of that stress out of you. You deserve it.
