OT: Transporting Cold Beverages

Actually, I think it has more to do with "where you bought it" than if it's in your trunk or elsewhere. Carrying liquor across state lines, (I'm not sure if this is true for all states), is prohibited. I'll have to check on county and city lines.

Up here we bring beer a liquor back and forth from Canada all the time. We can get Crown in Canada at the duty free store for a really good price. There's a limit on how much you can bring back though before you pay duty though.

Man, that takes me back to college days. And when the US dollar was stronger, it was an even better deal. I used to buy my hockey equipment in Canada, too.

Hmmm alcohol and hockey. I wish I had seen those games...:rotfl:

You're absolutely correct. I spent a couple of months in the Army working site security at the WTC and had a lot of interaction with the NYPD. A great bunch of guys as are most police officers. Nothing but respect from me. Having said that, many of them like beer as much as I do! :lmao:

Al..my older son is NYPD...5 years on the job now. Speaking as a mom..I wish he was an accountant..a whole lot safer.:wizard: He wouldn't change his job for anything. :thumbsup2 (and shhh..he likes beer..in fact he thought it was his duty to taste beer in every World Showcase country!...let's just say ...he throughly enjoyed his day at Epcot last May!)

You know, all this talk about bringing cold beverages over county and state lines makes me want to go and watch Smokey and the Bandit again!:lmao:

I have a funny story about 40 cases of Coors and a school bus on a 700 mile trip, not quite Smokey and the bandit though.
