Hi Guys,

I am looking for some suggestions for hotels in Toronto. We will be going to the Science Centre, CN Tower and the Zoo. :goodvibes

Thanks so much!

Hilton Suites hotel in Markham has a package deal including Science centre tickets, buffet breakfast (incredible selection) and a two room suite. We have stayed there twice, once with the package and then a second time without. We like having a bigger room with a separate place to watch TV when the little guy goes to sleep, plus they have a glass elevator which is my sons favourite part, we could just ride the elevator all day long and save alot of $$ :rotfl:
The hotel is off Highway 7, we highly recommend it, a bit out of the city but the space is worth the extra 10 minute drive

We stayed at the Sheraton Centre just before Christmas on the recommendations of several Canadian Diser's and really liked it!
Our room was overlooking Nathan Philips Square & though it was a blizzard it was still really beautiful to see the ice skaters & holiday lights. Even used the swim in/swim out pool, that was really cool with the snowflakes falling.

They have a special right now:

Getaway to Toronto and welcome the warmth of summer. Take advantage of our best rates of the season when you stay at Sheraton Centre Toronto:
For a limited time enjoy rates from $109
For an additional $40, upgrade to our comfortable Sheraton Club Level offering (value $100):

Complimentary Deluxe Continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres in our exclusive Club Lounge
Spectacular city views
Complimentary high speed internet access
Valid for stays through August 31, 2009

Act fast! Rooms at these rates will sell quickly. Book online or call 1-866-716-8101 and reference rate code SPRING to reserve your getaway today.

However, as the PP mentioned, if you don't need to be right downtown, you'll get better deals on the edges of the city such as the one mentioned. Don't forget parking downtown is quite expensive too.

Have fun!!!

We stayed at the Hilton Suites in Markham last year, and liked it and had no problems. This year we have booked to stay at the Sheraton Toronto Centre, at the end of August. First time using Hotwire, and got the Sheraton for $66,night. It looks nice, and close enough to everything. Parking seems expensive, but you would have to pay it regardless.
The Hilton, you also have to pay for parking, but if you get a deal where it includes breakfast then it is worth it. The breakfast was very good.

Has anyone stayed at the Skydome? DH wants to try it during baseball season. TIA!

Hey Dangler... since you're from Ontario, you may know about this already, but the 3 attractions you list are all covered under the Citypass. It should save you about $15/person if you buy the Citypass at the first attraction you visit.

For hotels for us, I'm looking at the Residence Inn downtown/entertainment district because I have lots of Marriott rewards points and I like Residence Inns because of the buffet breakfast and the kitchen facilities. Anybody have any feedback on it?

I had forgotten about the City Pass, thanks :goodvibes

Crowne Plaza Don Valley is closest to the Science Centre and I think it offers a shuttle service to downtown for the CN Tower, they also have Science Centre and Zoo Packages. One kind of neat thing is that it includes a movie and popcorn included with your room and kids eat free at the restaurant.

We just booked at the Marriott Residence Inn Downtown Toronto/Entertainment District with a Summer Welcome package. For $169 it includes a king suite, valet parking and even a nearby restaurant $50 dining credit (not sure if we'll use that as we're going to the baseball game).

Looked it up on Trip Advisor & it's rated #1/110 hotels in TO so we're looking forward to it!

The details below are for the CN Tower package, they have a bunch of packages that are a good value.

I agree with the PPs about the Sheraton Centre - love that place! Whatever you do though avoid the Delta Chelsea - YUCK!

We just stayed at the Delta Chelsea for a week (got a fantastic rate through hotwire). As long as you make sure you sign up for their Delta Privilege Program (free on their website), you get some perks and a renovated room (very important as the nonrenovated rooms look terrible). We chose it to be close to the hospital (where our son is being treated), but it is within walking distance to lots of major attractions and we really enjoyed our stay there.
