OT-Too small for insurance

This is how big my 2 year old is too. She just hit the 3rd percentile after not even being on the chart. I can't imagine being denied because of this

OMG That is terrible. My DD at that age was the same weight and very small.Now at 5 yrs old she is only 40 " tall and 30 lbs.. I can't imagine something so ridiculous

That is terrible. My son was also only 22 lbs. at age 2. He is now 5 and about 36 lbs. He is perfectly healthy though he has always been below the 5th percentile since birth.

Matt Lauer stated today that the insurance company had "revaluated" her case and was of course accepted for insurance.

I saw this today and was concerned, too. I have a tiny three-year-old as well. She is only 23 pounds right now! This is ridiculous.

That is crazy!! My DS weighed 22 lbs at 2 also. Now he is almost 3 and we're keeping our fingers crossed that he weighs 25 lbs at his next check-up.

Not to be a threadjacker BUT.... I was going to post a thread about this tonight, as I'm concerned about DS almost 5 months old. He is right on the line at 0 for weight at 12 lbs 9 oz. He's being worked up to see why he's so small as dh is 6'2" and I'm 5'6". He's hitting his milestones, and appears to be thriving. He gains at every visit and is being monitored. It sounds like I'm not alone, and that makes me feel a little better. I'm hoping it's a case of "tiny but mighty".

My DS was 12 lbs at 4 mos, 14 lbs at 6 mos, and didn't hit 20 lbs until 18 mos. He is growing and gaining and his doctor is not worried at all. DS has his own growth curve and as long as he is consistent, his dr said he is fine. I'm sure your little guy is fine too.

She is bigger than DS was at that age. He was premature but 100% healthy by that age. Sad.

Our almost 3 year old twins only wiegh about 25 pounds each and are short for their age, but very healthy. It is scary that it is possible that they would not be covered.

My DD7 is 46" and right around 37 pounds as well. She eats healthy (loves veggies and fruits) and dances 4-5 days a week. She's been tiny since birth, but she's healthy so we don't worry too much (unless she's not eating at all!)

One way we get extra calories in her is by still having her on whole milk. We also give her a Carnation Instant Breakfast mix w/ whole milk in the morning before school.

My 10 year old is only 51 inches and 52 pounds. I don't do anything to increase her calorie intake, she eats healthy and that is all I care about.

I could have written this post! We have managed to get DD7 up to 44 lbs from 39 in just a few months. We did the same thing. Anytime she asks for chocolate milk she gets Carnation instant breakfast!
