We're trying to get away from Christmas gifts, and do something special together as a family. Any 'experiences' you can recommend doing together in Southern Ontario? It is for kids ranging in age from 4 to 13, as well as adults. Something in the $200 range is great. We've done Imax films, snow tubing, theme parks, water parks, butterfly conservatories. I'm running out of ideas! Thanks for any insight!

Have you looked into Medival Times? They have great deals around Christmas time. We went a few years ago as a family Christmas gift and had a great time.

When we get together with my brother's families we also have kids from 4-13. It can be challenging to come up with activities to suit that range of kids. I'm signing on to maybe hear about some new activities for us as well.

A couple things that have worked for us are a family hike in the woods, hunting for frogs, swimming or skating. At Christmas time going as a group to cut down our own tree, decorating gingerbread houses and driving around looking at the holiday lights seems to be good group activities. We've done medieval times with great success as well as Great Wolf Lodge, Dave and Busters, Black Creek Pioneer Village, The Toronto zoo, the Bowmanville zoo, and many breakfast buffet places.

We recently got a set of 10 lazer tag guns and this is their most favorite activity. We keep talking about getting into Geocatching but haven't yet.
