So, I have been off the pill since September, DH and I are trying for #3 :wizard:. No luck yet and he just gave me the approval to plan a trip for THIS May! :cool1:

My question is: should I get back on the pill? I mean, I just don't know how miserable it would be to go to the World preggers. My first pregnancy was great, I wasn't sick at all and felt fine. Second pregnancy was a completely different story. I was sick  all the time. Hope this isn't TMI but I puked a ton. I was so worried DS 2 at the time would see me and worry. :confused3

Anyway, it is possible that by May I could be anywhere from a couple of weeks to 2 months preg. And we will be driving 17 hours, and I won't be able to ride the rides.

Any help or suggestions?

Thanks.

I would not go back on the pill for that short time frame. Maybe use something else till time for the trip????

Ask your dr apt the rides- I was high risk pregnancies so I was full bed rest- but my friends that went got to ride just about everything (after checking with their drs) their 1st trimester.

If you are typically miserable at home pregnant- then chances are that will be the case at WDW :(

If you really don't want to be pregnant until after your trip- either use other contraception until then, or go back on the pill (but keep in mind that it can take a month to fully work (mid march) so use something in the meantime.

Hope you figure it out- and congrats on trying for a baby!

Since I am a ride junkie I am personally purposely waiting until after our trip to TTC (we planned it that way after we found out my in-laws were taking us). I too am on the pill and had a similar experience with conceiving DD. I ditched the pills for 2 months, found out we were going to be out of town for a wedding that turned into a vacation. Since I wasn't pregnant I started the pill again for I think three months. I know it is a little selfish, but since I wasn't pregnant yet I figured why not enjoy one last vacation.

If you have been trying and not pg yet, I personally would keep trying. Disney is still wonderful, even if you were two months and careful about some things, there is lots and lots!

We took a huge family trip to Disneyland when DD10 turned 3 and I was 6 or 8 weeks pregnant and SIL was 9 or 11 weeks pregnant and both of us had different OBs. Both OBs told us to go and have fun, ride whatever we felt like riding. Well, we rode everything (I didn't ride Maliboomer tho, blech!) and we had no complications. So I would suggest don't worry about it, don't move the trip and if you ARE pregnant, talk to your OB.

And PS-they have prescription anti-barf pills that are a miracle!!! I yarked so much with DD6 that I lost 16 pounds in 3 weeks. TMI!!! :rotfl:

I'd either go back on the pill or use a barrier method. I would NOT wanna go to WDW like this! (LOL, is there a barf smilie?)

I was in WDW 6 mo pregnant (I looked over 7 mo! LOL) it was fine. I wouldn't worry. Use anoth form of contraceptive if you are worried. Personally, I would keep trying. Then again, I have been through H-E-L-L trying to have a baby.

I was 4.5-6 weeks pregnant with DD last time and just starting to get sick. I was pretty sick by the last day and when we came home the mention of anything disney made me really queesy for months. (DH was freaking out about that!) I was really sick with both kids though, I threw up everything I ate or drank for over 3 months both times. I didn't feel comfortable going on rollercoasters or anything, but we still had a great time. Even one week later though, and I wouldn't have been able to do anything, I would have been so unhappy and sick. I wouldn't risk being more than a few weeks pregnant.
