Rodski - most of the tips I have are related specifically to Western or hiring for our local board. Locally, our board uses college marks as a weeding tool for candidates, so the better your marks, the better your chance to get an interview. Instructors at Western told their classes that marks don't matter as long as you are certified. When you are on your placements, make sure the principal gets to know you. For our board, if a principal doesn't send a recommendation in for you, you won't get an interview. Now, our board is one of the toughest to get into apparently, but these tips can only help no matter where you are. If you have any specific questions, feel free to pm me! Best of luck!
