So I finally took my road test today. I got my G1 (like Learner's permit) four years ago, so I went to take my road test before that expired.

And I failed. They weren't wrong in failing me, but it doesn't make me any less upsetting. Basically, the examiner asked me to pull out of the parking spot, and I meant to do that. But instead I reversed. I was only about three inches from the guard rail, so it was only a small reverse and a bump. She didn't say anything so I asked "Should I even..." And she bluntly said "No." Then told me to turn off the car.

The worst part is that I had to sit in the car with her for another three minutes while she marked up my testing paper. It wouldn't have been so bad if she hadn't had such an attitude about it.

I know it was a foolish thing to do, and I'm not looking for flames telling me that I shouldn't be on the road or negativity. I am absoutely great at actualy driving, can back-in to a spot on the first attempt... It's just things like this tend to upset me, and I feel just awful that I failed a driving test w/o actually doing any driving. I needed a place to vent, and hopefully get cheered up... and Disney always makes me :goodvibes

Thanks for listening:)

awwwww.... no biggie. Lots of people fail their test on the first try. I did and I was NOT happy! But I passed the second time, and it's kinda funny when I look back.

You'll do FINE next time!

I've been driving since I was 10 (I never said legaly, though we stayed off the roads until about 15)

Shortly after getting my licence I was out trying to get a job. I hit a T in the road and there was heavy traffic, so my left turn was going to be tough. After about 10 minutes a driver (on my right) stopped and waved me on. I waited another two minutes until there was a truck turning right, onto the road I was on, so I turned left. A woman who was just past being a teen herself went out of her lane, around the truck, and hit me inches behind where I was sitting.

Despite the record showing that she was texting, I got the ticket for "Failure to yield"

(it really was my fault though, because she WAS back in her lane upon contact)
we all make mistakes and it's best just to go out and try again
