I hope you don't mind me asking here but cant seem to find much info on RCCL

we are sailing on the Indepentance of the sea out of southhampton on the 19th
was wondering if any of you have done this
we have flights from Belfast and will be in southhampton at 8am and we are hoping to be able to leave all our bags at the port and go out and about ,not just sit waiting to board ,BTW Flights and tranfers are included in package

and does everyone get really dressed up onboard
DS 12 has just told me he needs a suit , that a shirt and tie will not do

I am so used to these boards here to plan our hoildays , so it is really :scared1: not getting quick and helpful answers from other boards

The dis :disrocks

Really missing not going with Disney this year , but was out ruled

Can't really help with the Southampton part I'm afraid but I have cruised RCCL before and am again in March!

I was a bit worried about the whole "Formal" thing as well as we're not really formal people. However, we found really you could do your own thing! There's only so many Formal nights on the cruise so it's not every night. Yes, some people do wear tuxedos etc. but we just didn't go to the Main Dining Room on the Formal nights. Didn't feel out of place on the rest of the ship as we generally found people went Formal for their dinner then went back to their cabins and chained to something casual!

Looking for anymore information I'd definitely recommend Cruise Critic. The message board over there is really helpful even for the silliest of questions :thumbsup2
