OT: Probably moving to FL in 18-ish months...

Thanks so much, Scott!! This is some awesome info...and Baldwin Park looks beautiful :) My next move was to start looking at nursing programs to see what's available. It would be a better move to get my RN before I leave NC- I don't want to wait 18mos. only to not get it here, and then start from scratch basically to find a job down there. And that means I'll definitely need a good BSN program once I get to Florida (I am definitely getting that Bachelor's!!).

Thanks for the advice about WDW too. I think that's my biggest (silly)fear about moving, is that it wouldn't be special if we went and didn't stay on property, didn't do the DDP, didn't plan it as a whole vacation experience, etc. I did have my suspicions though, that it would make it more special and hearing you say it does makes me feel better about it :goodvibes

Thanks so much again, Scott!!

It might be worth having a look at allnurses for info on nursing jobs in Fl, from what I gather it is extremely difficult for new grads to get employment at the moment

I'm experiencing the same thing as a CNA right now. No one will hire me because I don't have any experience, but how am I supposed to get any experience without someone hiring me??? I feel like Hercules when he first lands in Thebes: "How am I supposed to prove myself a hero if no one will give me a chance?" It's quite frustrating-but this too shall pass! (Too bad I'm not more patient!) Thanks for the site info, I appreciate it!
