OT: Prayers needed please

My mother was just diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer.
She has always been healthy, now all of a sudden at age 63 this news has devastated our family. From what I understand, this can be "managed" but not "cured". Her dream of seeing her grandchildren graduate high school (they are both under 4) appears to be unlikely.
She and my son adore each other. The thought of her being too weak, frail and ill to enjoy her time with him...well, there are tears streaming down my face right now.
Prayers please...our family will never be the same.

Prayers going up for you and your family. Don't give up though. There are new discoveries being made all the time. My Pastor was given only 3 months to live last March after being diagnosed with lung cancer. He has been treated at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, IL and is still with us today. The cancer isn't gone but God is continuing to give him strength. We are celebrating his 74th birthday after church on Sunday.

I will be praying for you and your family. My father was sick the past 13 years and passed away on April 27th at the age of 63 leaving a 7 year old granddaughter and two 3 year old grandsons. I know how you feel but your faith will help get you through it. I know its hard but try not to focus on the negative and take it one day at time.

I'm so sorry. My mom has been diagnosed three times with breast cancer -worse stage being Stage 3, 11 years ago. It may never be gone for her. My aunt died at 65 of breast cancer. It's been something my cousin and I have lived with - if you want to talk, please PM me!

Things are soo much better than when my mom and aunt were diagnosed and there is more hope everyday! Prayers are with you!
