I'm an early Christmas shopper :santa:(have to be with 3 kids) and my dh and I were looking at the Playstation 3 as it has the blu ray player. Anyone have one? We have a Wii already. How are the games (as compared with other systems)? I know the games tend to be for older kids (mine are still grade school age). Can you play playstation 2 games on a 3? How's the blu ray? Any problems?
Thanks!

We have both PS3 and Wii. I find PS3 games difficult but those who have played a lot of video games ( I have not) find it really good. Do you have a Wi-fi connection in your house? If you do there are loads and loads of games that you can download to the system. The graphic's are amazing and the blue ray is cool.

We have all three systems (wii, ps3, and 360).

The PS3 is cool and has some pretty good exclusives. The Blue ray player is top of the line and supports all the new features (but just a heads up the BD Live features arn't supported in Canada for some unknown reason..)

The current crop of PS3's are NOT capable of playing PS2 games.. they took that feature out after the 60/20 gbs (although there are some available on Ebay with it there is a premium attached).

Its a greast system if you have older (10+) year old BOYS.. the game choices for girls just isn't there.. (maybe two or three games my daugther likes Flower and Fat Princess and Flow)
