Not sure where I should be posting this, but I'm sure that it will be redirected...
I am looking to buy a photo printer for no more than $200. I want one that will print GOOD pictures that won't fade or turn into pink tones!
Anyone have any input???
Thanks!

Just bought a HP Photosmart 7350 at wally world for $99 on sale and it totally rocks.. reads smart cards, memory sticks and compact media, and prints 8x10 and everything under.

I don't see it on their site anymore but that have the 7550 for 148

If you really want pictures that will last you should look into dye-sub printers, but they'll cost a little more. I have one by Sony that prints out 4 X 6 prints that look like they came from the developer. And they should last 100 years. They also won't get damaged if they get wet because they have a protective coating.

Inkjet printers squirt the ink onto the paper as it goes through. The dye-sub printers fust the ink from ink ribbons onto the paper with heat.

They're also more expensive to process. You buy a package that has enough paper and ribbon cartridge for 25 pictures and it will cost anywhere from $10 - $20, depending on where you get it.

But if you want pictures for scrapbooking or to pass on for generations, dye-sub is the way to go. Mine cost between $200 - $300.

I have the Sony dye sub printer as well and I think it works really well. I paid about $150 for it. It is a DPP-EX5.
