OT: Personalized books on Disneyshopping.com

Has anyone ordered the personalized books from Disneyshopping.com? I was thinking of getting some as Christmas gifts for my kids who are 8, 6, and 1, as well as for some of our friends' children. Are they cute stories? What age group would they be good for? I am thinking my 8 yr old might be too old for them. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I ordered the Pooh story for DD4. It was OK, but one thing I didn't like is that the personalization info asks for a friend's name (I used her sister), but the friend "disappears" after about the first page. There is some reference to the friend "going home" when a storm is coming, leaving the main child there (overnight) with Pooh and Piglet. DD4 knew her sister would never leave her, so she kept asking where she was!

She also kept asking where she was in the pictures - the illustrations showed all the Pooh friends, but the story included DD and she was nowhere to be found. I expected that, but DD didn't understand why there wasn't a picture of her since she was in the story.

DD8 enjoyed reading the story to her sister, but I don't think she would have wanted it as a gift (partly because she is not a big Pooh fan, but partly because she is reading way past that level).
