Has anyone had any experience with the Peg Perego Aria Twin stroller? We are looking for a new double and are very inclined to get this one because it is only 14 lbs which is a big bonus for me (I have severe back issues).

Love it? Hate it? Please share your opinion before I shell out the $$. :)

Thanks!!!!

We have the Aria Twin. It has good and bad points, like most strollers -
GOOD:
- love the 60/40 seat arrangement. This was the main reason we picked this stroller, b/c our older DD (just turned 4) was really cramped in other double strollers (you may not have this problem since your older DC is just 2)
- lightweight for a double
- great big individual canopies (gotta keep the sun and the rain off those precious kiddos!)
- removable tray feature is nice
- individual reclining ability, one kid is sleeping you can lay them back
- large storage underneath

BAD:
- one pathetic cupholder on the back of the stroller - ours broke off after just a few uses. I ordered a stroller organizer thing to use instead
- the folding/unfolding mechanism is not intuitive. The first time I used it, I could not figure out how to get the thing open.
- I'm not crazy about the way the straps work

Overall I am happy we got this one. The Macclaren double was my first choice, but older DD was just squished in it! :goodvibes

Have you checked out the Baby jogger City mini double stroller?? It is a awesome stroller-- a breeze to fold-- check out their website for a video of the fold. I own the city mini single. I soo wished they had this one when I needed a double stroller years ago. The stroller is soo easy to push. The sunshades are soo great-- kept our little guy very shade at disney a few weeks ago. I have a shoulder injury and a bad back and found the city mini to be easier to steer and fold.

I did have a peg perego aria and p3 -- I hated both of them. The steering was aweful.

I know babies are us online sells the city mini double and albee baby also sells it. Also check out craigslist-- every so often you can find one listed

good luck w/your decision

I have the single Aria and I found that to be difficult to steer/push, especially as the girls grew. I bought a single Maclaren Triumph and that stroller is much easier to push, even with a 50 pound child in it, so that really grows with you. However, the Aria is wider, so I can see larger children fitting more comfortably in it, but it will be hard for you to push, specifically turn. My girls are tall and slim, so fitting into the Macs was not an issue. But I loved pushing it. My 7 year old who is 51 inches tall, 55 pounds can sit in it and I can push her around quite easily in it still!

I have no experience with the double, but I have a single Aria and I love it. I think it's the perfect Disney stroller. I bought it for a WDW trip when DS was 18 mos. We've used it alot since then, including our most recent WDW trip when DS was 2.5 yrs old. I have had no problems with steering it. I like the storage basket (although it could be a little bigger), the snack tray, the canopy, and the fact that it reclines. Folding it is so easy, even with one hand. The only drawback is the parent cupholder. Ours broke the first week we had the stroller.
