For those who went in the past in Milton - it has now been resurected in Hamilton at the Royal Botanical Gardens

My partner is splitting booth there, come check out the Merchant and the Magpie... great costumes and hand made leather goods.

We live only minutes from the one in Milton. After years of putting it off I finally took my youngest one day last summer and we had a blast!

Bought a crown of flowers for myself and a sword for DS (11). We did all the games, watch the shows and generally had a wonderful time.

Why did it move?

I believe that other company (who were Americans) went broke up here and they since sold the land. They said something about "poor attendance", however the parking lots there were always packed!!! I think it was a lot of mis-management from what I gathered from my time there and now the company is solely concentrating on the Ren Fest in Maryland.

Where it has moved to now is much better transportation wise. Where it was located, it would have been hard if you did not have a vehicle as no busses or Go Trains went that far out. I just hope that the Royal Botannical Gardens in Hamilton will still have the "Rennassaince" feel to it. We'll see starting this weekend!

We had heard that they were renting the land in Milton and the people who owned it sold it and the new owners didnt want the fair on the property. Its a great boost to the economy in Hamilton/Burlington in that area. You will have to go to Easterbrooks for a hot dog. ITs a shack but its a great shack.
