and it wasn't bad here.

We went to the mall Saturday morning to see Santa and I went shopping Saturday night.

However we stayed home Sunday. Swimming lessons were cancelled due to the instructor not being able to get in and a party was cancelled because the place had no power.

Certainly last year with Hurricane Jaun and white Jaun in February were far worse than this storm. This was just a typical NS storm.

Cape Breton didn't get hit too hard....We didn't get ANY snow...shhhh!!!!!!!!

The power flickered a few times, and we got out the candles - the kids always get so excited for the first 10 minutes that the power is out...then they want to play gamecube...LOL!

Friends of ours in Truro got whammied...heavy, heavy snow...*sigh*

So GLAD we have trip booked!!!!!LOL!!

I'm in Truro. It was fun. ... actually not much snow, but I JUST got power back less than an hour ago. I love being without power for 2.5 days. May as well just throw out the fridge.
NSPower *finally* came to check the lines last night (I live in town limits, like 50ft from downtown) and got it back this afternoon. If only they checked it eariler.

Anyhoo everyone is safe and the majority of town was back to normal 5 minutes after the snow stopped.

I live in Bedford and we lost our power for about 3 hours Sunday afternoon. I do feel sorry for all the people still without power. I was hoping the first snow I saw this year would be in WDW at the Osborne lights in December. It was sad to see the near tragedies with fires and carbon dioxide poisoning because of power outages.
