has anyone done this? my husband was interested but he's not too fond of micro foods. any advice w/be great?

I have done both Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig. Nutrisystem is simply gross.
Jenny Craig is a bit more pricey but the quality of their food is much better.

Let me just say, I had great success with JC...BUT...my weight has come back once I went to real food.

IMO weight watcher is the only long term solution for a new lifestyle.

Good luck to him with whatever he decides!

what is IMO?:confused3 Thanks for the word of caution..i will tell him.im sure once he hears he will veto it.

I thought that the food was yuck as well. There were a couple of things that were ok but, the rest was not. I have about 20-25 pounds that I would like to get rid of. Last week I started back with WW, I am down 5 pounds so far. Some people do better going to the WW mtgs. I have better luck online. They have some great recipes online that are very family friendly. Sometimes I make a big batch of chili and measure it out and freeze it for lunch instead of frozen/packaged ww or lean cuisine dinners. One tip that I also do is to know what I will make for dinner and then I know what I can have for the rest of the day. The trick is high fiber and a lot of water. I didn't think that nutrisystem had enough fiber to really fill me up.

My DH started it last week. He has been pretty satisfied so far. Only about three things he hasn't liked. He is definitely not hungry, and says he feels like he has more energy from eating a well balanced diet.

I tried to do Nutrisytem about a year ago and eventually stopped. When I cancelled my automatic food ordering, the guy on the phone asked me why and I intended to lie and make up some nice reason like I was allergic to gluten or tomatoes or something but I told the true and said the food was really bad. I eventually sold the remainder of my food on Ebay and actually got a good price for it. So all in all beside the fact that I am still "fat" everything turned out fine.

But a friend of mine did say the other day that Jenny Craig's food was really good. So I thought I might try that.

I have to agree with the previous poster that Weight Watchers is the way to go. You can pretty much eat whatever you want (great when you have a craving!), as long as you watch your portion size and keep track of your points. It's really not that hard.

The biggest word of caution about programs where you have to buy their food is that they don't really TEACH you how to plan and cook for yourselves. I've heard many stories about people who have been successful in losing weight with that type of program, but as soon as they're back "on their own", they go nuts and gain it back.
