OT-Nova Scotians-Celluar Service Providers?

My celluar service is up for renewal, I have always had MTT/Aliant/Bell. Now with more competition out there just wondering what provider you have and if you are happy with the area coverage, plans, service fees, other fees?

I have Telus - and I'm definately not thrilled with them. I called a week after signing a 3 yr contract because my connection is so bad and they told me that i should have called back the first day....I wouldn't have any problem with them if I could answer my phone and actually hear the person!!! Very frustrating and very difficult to resolve my issues. I can't wait until my 3 years is up.

Oh, my phone also goes straight to voicemail without ringing a lot of time - and it is not just me. Other Telus users I know have the same problem. And sometimes it takes hours for the voice mail to even come through!!

Before this I had rogers and had no complaints.
 
I'm of the opposite opinion (of course!). Our Telus phone has been great compared to our old Rogers one.. better coverage where we go because I believe there are more Bell towers (which Telus uses if I remember correctly), plus they gave us a teriffic rate plan. $17.30 + tax (no system access fee), 200 anytime minutes, voicemail, caller ID, unlimited evenings and weekends. We wouldn't consider ourselves heavy cellphone users.
 
I have been with rogers for years. they have messed up MANY times with billing issues. I found that if I called the retentions department and told them my issues, they would give my credit for the problems, and usually a free add-on to keep my business.
They are on my good side with the last error they made since they sent me an Iphone for FREE!!!! :woohoo:
As far as service, I have not had any issues at all. The reception has been good, and I travel a lot for work, too, and no issues elsewhere.

This is good to know for DD, since we are on rogers. She has a pay-as-you-go phone.
