OT Nintendo DS download play question

I know there are DS players here and I haven't found answers elsewhere...
WE have two DS. We are trying to play Mario & Sonic at the Olympics with one game card and 2 DS. We followed the instructions and the guest DS has said "Downloading..." for at least 10 minutes. Should it be taking this long?


Also, my DS doesn't keep time properly anymore. Anybody had that happen? A lot of times it will go back to 1/1/2000.

10 minutes seems too long for wireless download. Unless it's waiting for the Host to tap a confirmation icon. If it says 'Downloading' on one DS what does the second one say?
If that's not the problem maybe try and host the game from the other DS and see if it'll connect faster? Maybe the one with the time issues is faulty and try again with it plugged into the charger..perhaps there's something going on with it's battery.

When we press Confirm on the host DS, then it says something about communication problem. We haven't had time to try any other ways today, but will sometime!

It might have just been interference. But if you're worried about the hardware you could see if they'll connect to each other in pictochat.

My daughters' DSs interface pretty quickly. They play Mario Party sometimes. Are they close enough to each other? Also, one of the DSs has time issues with one game, Animal Crossings. The time has to be reset occasionally but it's not a problem with any other game. My girls love to play their Nintendogs in bark mode together! Good luck!
