Sorry this is OT, but you guys are the best resource I have! Friends are planning on travelling to NYC over March Break. Are there any hotel search engines where you can type in the amenities you are looking for? They only want a hotel with a pool, and there aren't a lot of those in the midtown area. Ideally, they would like to be close enough to walk to some attractions, (zoo, aquariam, etc). Obviously there is so much to see and do that they can't walk to everything they are interested in, but somewhere central to some of the major attractions would be good. Any ideas?

What you can do is go to Expedia and seach for hotels in NYC. Once that list comes up, there is a link on the right that says soemthing like Hotel Amenities Narrow Your Choices. Click on that, and one op the options is Swimming Pool. Check that box, and it will show only the hotels w/ pools. HTH!

As far as specific places, can't help you there. I've only been to NYC once, and I don't know if our hotel (Sheraton Towers in Midtown) had a pool or not. We didn't have time to find out!

I live in NY so I am definitly willing to help! However I have to say that in NY in March you are definitly not going to be able to swim unless it is an indoor pool. As far as being close to attractions, there are two zoos, one in the Bronx and one in Central Park (I suggest staying near Central Park). The Aquarium is in Brooklyn and again, I would not stay in that area. PM me if you would like me to give you more info and what areas are good to stay in.
