We've had Netflix for a little over a year and really enjoy it, but the plus of being able to return a movie to the store and immediately get another is tempting. But I've heard a few bad things about Blockbuster online, anyone experience both and like one over the other?~:)~

We've only ever had Netflix but I'd never go to Blockbuster Total Access. Netflix has more movies & more depth in its genres. I like foreign movies & documentaries & Netflix has never let me down.

I have had Blockbuster for years with no problems. We love the new total access. When we finish a movie, we take it to the store, get a new one and BB mails us a 2nd new one the very next day! They also send a coupon via email once per month that is good on both movies and games. DH usually gets a game with that one since it is worth more and he likes to try out new games before we buy.

I actually have both right now and I prefer Blockbuster. I like being able to get a movie right away rather than waiting. So for me, the Total Access part is what's sold me. I plan on cancelling Netflix once my month is up.

Netflix. We tried Blockbuster. Whenever we went to the video store to exchange they were usually out of stock of the new movies we might want to watch anyway. You really have to plan with Netflix in regards to when you mail in movies (mail Monday for the new releases that come out on Tuesday), but I usually get the movies I want by the weekend.

Blockbuster is much better! We haveit and my husband is watching a movie that he got right now from trading in. I think that trading in is great. Sometimes i pick movies online that we dont really care for just to make sure we have something to trade in. We like to see the case up close and personal!! As someone had said that the movies are never in when they want them, well that will have to depend on your blockbuster. We live in a small town and they always have everything. We rent about 40 movies a month for about 19 dollars. Not bad.

netflix. I had both. I had Blockbuster for the 2 week trial period and I got rid of it. All of the discs looks pretty beat up in their sleeves and 2 were so bad they wouldn't play. Maybe it was a fluke, but I had netflix for 6 months and rented to the tune of 6/wk and only once did I receive a disc that wouldn't play.

Another vote for Blockbuster. Sending and receiving the movies is the same for both--fast. At least that's my experience. I really like the idea of switching movies but have only done that once.
The big selling point for me is the monthly coupon that you can use in the store for either an extra movie or a VIDEO GAME! We always use it for the video game rental. They are $8 or $9 to rent for five days and I would never pay that much. It is great to try a gane though before plopping down $50 to buy it.

I've had Netflix since 1999. I'd not switch - most of the reason is because Blockbuster had to be forced into changing. Netflix is great, I haven't been in a video store since the year 2000! I was grandfathered in, so I still get my 4-at-a time. We always have something to watch on weekends.

If you want to try Blockbuster sign up through Sunshine Rewards. The 1 month trial membership will cost you $9.99 and you'll get $25.00 in rewards that can be redeemed for lots of things including cash into your Paypal account or Disney Dollars. So you will essentially make $15.00 just for trying it!

Blockbuster. We have had both and we love being able to turn our movies in at the store, and just love the free video or movie rental per month (well the DS actually love the free video game )

We have both at the moment and blockbuster is harder to use. Their website isn't as friendly. We haven't rented anything in store because the whole reason we went with Netflix was to avoid late fees.

I mailed off a netflix and turned in a blockbuster and the turn around time was the same.

I have used both, albeit when I was on Blockbuster they didn't have the trade in the store yet.

Netflix is great if you like a wide variety of movies: Foreign films, documentaries, and what not. That alone is great. Also, my turnaround time is super quick.

Blockbuster just doesn't have the variety of movies that Netflix does. And if you go to the store, they may not have a movie you want either.

So I vote for Netflix, but it just depends on what you want!

I rent a lot of foreign films and documentaries, and I am thrilled with what Netflix has in that regard.

I can't believe it's been 7 years since I've been to Blockbuster. I can't say I really enjoyed going to the rental store, they never seemed to have the titles I wanted in stock!

Netflix for us!

There is a local Netflix distribution center in Greensboro so movies get turned around in one to two days. Movie out Monday, new one on Wed. Also, withytwo young children, who wants to load up and go to the video store and listen to them ask/beg for every movie in the place plus the candy/popcorn at the registers. The movie that shows up in the mailbox is the one we watch. No big discussions. Also, Netflix is also rolling out a streaming feature that will download movies to your mediacenter equipped television. Very new and I haven't tried it, so no opinion on that feature yet.

So if you turn a movie in at the store and choose another one, there is a due date on returning that movie?

Blockbuster vote here...with them for 3 years w/ dvds in the mail. Big plus for our family is the 2 free coupons per month we get to rent video games or movie. We use it on the video game Wii rentals and the kids are happy. That almost pays for my plan because the games are about 7.99 per week to rent and my plan is $17.99 per month. The new total access is a nice perk too. :thumbsup2

We love Netflix. We usually get our next movie only a day after mailing another one back. Great selection. I have gotten a few kids movies that wouldn't play because of scratches, but you go online and check the box that states that and they send you another copy immediately, I usually get it before returning the first scratched one. Never tried Blockbusters version so I can't comment on that. I just love no late fees, no trips to the video store, and picking my movies from my own home computer.

Loving Blockbuster. I've tried both and love the new Blockbuster feature. Its hard to think about not turning in the movies for in store movies. We usually always have 6 movies at a time in our house.

I love Netflix. I had a free trial of blockbuster and wasn't wowed.
