OT -- Need some quick help -- Any PTA people out there, info needed on using pay pal

Hi gang,

I'm hoping some one can help me. My dd's daycare pta-type group is trying to either open a bank account or maybe a paypal account to collect money for teacher appreciation, extras for the center. Has anyone done this? Did you open a bank account -- what info did you need? Or do any of you use paypal for the money -- how does that work?

Our PTO has both a bank account and paypal. To open a bank account, your organization should have a tax id # although some banks will let you use a personal social security number or the school's tax id number. Paypal is good if you think that you will benefit by being able to take credit card payments but you need to factor in the fees.
