I just want to give my two cents it sounds to me like you love your child and you are just looking out for his best interest. Always fallow your gut you may not always be right but chance are you are on the right track. If you dont look out for him who will! As far as the dentist NO WAY would I let my child sit thru an exam with out me in the room- Ive never been asked to leave the room! Good luck hang in their its not easy work but the pay is outstanding:love:

Welcome to parenthood Teacups.

1) We switched peds after 6 years because of really bad office staff.

2)Not even going to get started on our local school.....

3)had to pull our son out of preschool, at our church which we ended up leaving due to this too, because of the Lord of the Flies enviornment, where our son came home with visiable injuries and they didnt care.

4)Had to switch dentists after he made a huge mistake and drilled the wrong tooth, and refused to give me my records.

You gotta do what you gotta do and you are not alone by any means. I can't tell you how many times Ive looked around and wondered how I ended up in Bizarro World.

I totally hear you on the kids getting hurt before anyone does anything about it thing. That is the culture these days...to let kids do whatever they want until someone bleeds...my step son is one of those kids who WILL get totally rediculously hyper if other kids are doing it too...they run in circles and go NUTS until someone (usually my stepson) gets hurt. It is INFURIATING. Who are the adults?! Last time I picked him up from Nursery school he had one heck of a shiner. The teacher said they were "running off energy"... THAT is rediculous. They have Playground rules that state "No Running"...but b/c the teacher was allowing it the kids went NUTS and my step son's face met with another boy's head. GRRR So, GOOD FOR YOU on that one.

I am one of those adults with a deathly fear of dentists b/c the idiot freak that my mother took me too wouldn't let my mom even be in the room. (I was four) He put his hand over my mouth and nose and told me he wouldn't let me breathe until I quit crying. I had to bite him. No choice. So again, GOOD FOR YOU.

I'd have complained about the totally RUDE nurse before I left a doctor I liked. She was being unprofessional and you have a right to complain.

You are doing great. Don't worry. We're all a little nuts when it comes to our kids!
