OT: Need home remedies for flu symptoms

So I have the flu I have a dr's appt tomorrow. In the meantime, does anyone have any good home remedies for sore throat and cough.

I've been taking tylenol and cough medicine, but they are not doing the trick. I can't take a lot of OTC meds because I have high blood pressure.

sorry, no good home remedies, just lots of fluids wanted to pop in and say i hope youre feeling better soon. ds 6 just got diagnosed with flu a couple of hours ago and he is miserable. he is pre asthmatic so he is on tamiflu. feel better

I like hot water with lemon (the rind is the key) and honey. Always makes me feel beter. It's going to be a bad year I'm afraid, the good news is you'll be done with it early. Feel Better!

Taking a hot bath or shower every half-hour or so really helps with any muscle aches and pains..
