We are going to have our first granddaughter in Oct and we're planning a very special baby shower for my daughter and need your help.We need alot of invitations and would love to get some sites, etc info, for the shower. We are also considering printing them, but would need to have a special verse to put in them insead of the "It's A Girl" or "Come to the Baby Shower".My daughter and her husband are doing the baby's room in Hot pink and black (bedding colors, etc) and white walls in her room.We want to put on the invitations that if you bring a package of diapers you get your name in for a special drawing (gift card or gift basket). So any help would be great. This baby has been a long time coming and we are so happy she's almost here.Any help with the shower or invitations or anything would be great.I just want it to be special. Thanks

For $10 you can buy a yearly subscription to Hallmark . com and email all of the cards you can imagine. They have some really cute cards, and we are planning to send out our Christmas cards this year via email.

You can also use e-vite for free. My neighbor just did it for a surprise party and it was really cute.

For my daughter's baptism, I purchased plain, white wedding invitations from the wedding aisle at Michael's. I used a 40% coupon, and it cost very little. After printing out the invitation, you can use hot pink and black ribbon to decorate the top of the card. Perhaps making two hole punches at the top side to side, stringing the two colors together and making a bow. For my daughter, I bought a hole puncher in the shape of a little baby's foot, and glued it on to the top. It was super simple!

Another thought is finding a small Minnie mouse hole punch, and punching it out in hot pink paper and adding a little black bow to the top of her head. That is, if your daughter is into Disney, like we obviously all are! :lmao:

I would recommend VistaPrint. I searched online and found a code for 90% off invitations. You can design them anyway you like, and they also have some templates. I found it easy to edit one of the templates exactly how I wanted it. I got 60 invitations for just under $20 including shipping. I did upload a picture (map) which cost $2.47 to upload. They turned out nicely, better than I expected!

I think the favorite invitation I ever got, was an invitation, in the color they were using to decorate the babies room. There was a picture of Mommy, standing sideways, showing her "baby bump". It was cute, unique and a great keepsake!

idk how "formal" you want them to be but for our rehearsal dinner i went on vistaprint and ordered 100 FREE postcards that I used as my invitations. I was able to design it out I wanted and type out anything I wanted to put on it.

I second Vistaprint. I used them for my sister's bridal shower invites and they were beautiful and very inexpensive. I found a discount link through their sponsored ad on Google.

For my daughter's birthday party, I just used a word document and designed her invitations. I centered the script writing - one line for what it was, one line for where it was, one line for the date and time, and one line for the RSVP information. I used clip art pictures (Belle and the Beast since that was her theme) in the corner and around the boarder and then printed them on a color printer. I printed them on regular printer paper, and tri-folded them. I used regular letter sized envelopes. You could get a cute sticker to seal them to dress it up a bit. You could also get color copies made if you don't want to use all the ink in your printer. I think you will be impressed with how easy it is to make something that looks really nice on your own.

If you head to the DISigns board, you can probably ask one of those ladies to design you an invite on photoshop. If they make you a 4X6 one, you can print them out as prints at Walmart/Walgreens, etc. Even one hour prints are only about twenty cents each. --Katie
