My mom and I are doing a Middle School yard sale; where you pay for a spot at the local middle school and sell what you wish. I know a lot of people said to price everything but we were going to set up an area for just 50 cent items and not mark those and mark or at least have a sign for everything else. Does that sound alright???
The items I need help pricing are:
Samsung 2GB MP3 player and all its accessories
Portable (no name) 7inch DVD player
Hitachi DVD Camcorder w/ bag (all accessories) & 6 30min DVD-Rs
Vera Bradley (Capri Blue for All) Purse (worn at strap), Wallet (the one with the strap)(like new), Cell phone case(like new), and coin purse(like new) (Was going to do separate prices and then a lower price if bought all together)
Alfred Angelo Bridesmaid dress (Prom)
Tap Shoes
Snowflake plate set of 4 dinner and 4 breakfast (The type you purchase indiviually from Kohls)
3 Snowflake Wine Glasses (From Kohls)
and a Snowflake King Sized Comforter Excellent Condition and in original bag

I know its a lot but I have never had to price my own items and I just dunno what a fair price would be. TIA!:goodvibes

Fair warning. I price cheap for yard sales, because my objective is to get rid of it all. I don't want to haul anything home. so...

Samsung MP3 player and all its accessories $10 (you don't say how much memory, so I'm guessing)
Portable (no name) DVD player $20 (it would help to know screen size)
Hitachi DVD Camcorder w/ bag (all accessories) & 6 30min DVD-Rs $50 (totally guessing on this one)
Vera Bradley Purse, Wallet (the one with the strap), Cell phone case, and coin purse (Was going to do separate prices and then a lower price if bought all together) $10
Bridesmaid dress (Prom) $10 (if it is a modern style)
Tap Shoes $5
Snowflake plate set of 4 dinner and 4 breakfast 50 cents each
3 Snowflake Wine Glasses 25 cents each
and a Snowflake Comforter $5 (size and condition would be important)

Pricing by the area on your table is a fine idea. Just make sure your sign is clearly visible on an easel or similar.

For the vera bradley. That's a tough one. The price on that is soooo driven by condition and by the pattern. Some of the patterns are worth 3 or 4 times the $10 suggested by PP. And a piece with a lot of wear would be worth $10 but something that's like new could be worth almost full retail or more. I would check the value of the pieces you have on e-bay. To check the pattern name check the vera bradley website. They have a section for retired patterns.

Same goes for the snowflake dinner dishes and the prom dress. If they are designer then they are worth much more than the suggested prices. Do a little research first. For example, are the dishes Spode or Lenox or similar or are they something that came from wal-mart or target or similar?

I fixed the sizes and things... for the Vera Bradley stuff would you do $10 a piece or all together?

I know I'm cheap on yard sale prices. I'd probably do $10 all together, but if you want more for designer items, I would consider ebay instead. Unless you get just the right buyer at a yard sale, you won't get what it is worth. Ebay is a different story altogether.

I just wasnt sure what you meant.

Please more ideas of what you would sell them at would be great!
