OT- need a weekend getaway for Memorial Day weekend- previous plans cancelled :(

I have been crazy busy and was looking forward to getting away. We had reservations for DC for the Zepfest. They cancelled !!!! I don't know what happened but I love Zeppelin and was looking forward to the whole thing. We had planned to leave Thursday and drive to DC, the fest was all weekend so a bunch of Zep bands were suppose to play all weekend. Now I don't know what we can do. Need ideas!! We are near Boston so the 8 hour drive was ok with us. Any ideas of somewhere to go for Thur-till Sunday??? Can be a long drive like we planned... We have bike week coming in June but I need to get away now!!! Help!! Any ideas? It will be just us two for a long fun weekend together need your input please!!!

We are headed to Cooperstown for Memorial Day weekend. I haven't been since I was 9 or 10. Can't wait.

I'd still head to DC. There is so much to do in the area you won't have trouble filling a long weekend.

I'm with Frank. Unless you just go to DC "too much", DC over memorial day should be a lot of fun, though it will probably be crowded at the tourist spots. One of my co-workers just returned from a weekend visit with his family saying they had a great time.

If you don't mind the drive, then just a little further you could come into VA...there's a lot do here.....Williamsburg is very nice...then there's Busch Gardens and Water County.....or you could come over to the beach.....lots will be going on there.....

Williamsburg looks like it is in the 80's??? sweet!! hmmm gonna look into it more

Niagra Falls. We went once for Memorial Day Weekend, we went to an arboretum and the Cherry Blossoms were out.
