we decided to go down 1 day early for cruise but i need recommendations for one night as the ones i find are all around $300 per night. I do need to have separate beds if possible, as there are 4 in 1 room \
Recommendations good and bad appreciated

We stayed at the Downtown Hilton this past Sept. We really enjoyed it. We had a bay view room on the 14th floor. It overlooked the cruise ship tsrminal and the arena where the Heat play. People mover stop was right next door. Would definitely stay there again.

I'd do an internet search with Expedia or Travelocity and put in the cruise terminal to see what hotels are available near it. Then I go directly to the hotel web site to book. I like Springhill Suites, or Embassy Suites. Large rooms, esp with 4 people. You can get 2 beds in bedroom, and a livingroom with a pull out. And a hot breakfast.
Sometimes if you go thru the cruise line, you can get discounted rooms. They make deals with nearby hotels.
