Have to come to my FW friends for advice. Does any one know of any campgrounds near Natchitoches, Louisiana? We're thinking about North Toledo Bend State Park.

How is that part of Lousiana after Hurricane Rita?

Feels weird asking a non FW question...

Thanks to all!

Ive stayed in a cabin in N.Toledo Bend...beautiful campground. The hurricanes have had an affect on most La St Parks...but almost all have recovered and are in great shape now, and the parks in the northern part of the state weren't terribly damaged to begin with. I cant say much about the RV loops because we usually just do a quick ride through since we've always stayed in the cabins. But the fishing was really good, NOT FOR ME...but it seemed like EVERYONE BUT ME were pulling them in cast after cast!!! Ive never been a good fisherman...but I'll never give up trying to learn!!

You'll definately enjoy a trip there...but keep in mind, its LA...bring bug spray!!!! And keep an eye out for gators when near the water.

Thanks Rog! I was hoping you would respond. Since we can't go to WDW until December, we're planning a trip in July to Natchitoches for their 4th celebration.

DH and son are like you...have the heart of die hard fishermen but not always a full stringer. ;)

Making reservations now.
