I can't help with those but we have stayed at the state campground as well as Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Nothing like FW though! Camping at Myrtle Beach seems crowded compared to there. The state park was wooded and a short walk over to the beach - general store, no pool, had comfort stations and laundry.
The Travel Park was wide open sunshine although they had these little huts to cover the picnic tables so you could get out of the sun. They had a pool, lake for fishing/paddle boats, store, kid's activities, and depending upon where they put you it could be a little walk to the beach or you could be right there at the dunes. I think they had a limited hours restaraunt as well.
We liked both for different reasons. Very easy to get to places to eat, mini golf, etc. from either one.
Sorry that didn't help with your 2 choices much - we had planned Ocean Lakes on short notice and they were booked up. If you go - let us know how it is!
