Sorry this is off topic, but my husband really wants to show off these pictures... A few months before the birth of our second child, my husband wanted to do something special for our first born to let him know that he will always hold a special place in our hearts. So he dreamt up this Nemo room and found a local mural artist to help us out. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, so truth be told I actually want to show off the pictures too. Our one year old son says "Nemo, Nemo!" when he looks around at the walls during nap times and bed time and it just melts my heart.

Cool job!
Looks VERY good!!!

I'll drop ya a link to our extreme home with the new (almost completed) Disney kitchen if your interested. One never has too many ideas!

Wow! That is truly amazing. Beautiful job. What a lucky little guy :goodvibes Do you mind sharing how much it cost to have that done? If that's too nosy, just let me know :)

Oh Jenr812...I was gonna ask the same thing!! I am nosey too I guess! I hope the OP is not offended by me asking but I would love to know what something like that would run me.....

To the OP, that is hands down one of the most beautiful childrens room I have ever seen. Finding Nemo is one of my fave Disney movies and your artist did a WONDERFUL job painting them!! You have every right to brag! Your son is a very luck little guy!

What a wonderfully special room for your older son!

This is truly beautiful, and so creative. What a special gift to your son. He will always remember this room and the memories of love that were packed into it! :lovestruc :cloud9: :lovestruc

Thanks for sharing this!

Wow thats awesome!!! The nosey part of me was wondering about the price too..lol

Thank you all for the lovely complements! :lovestruc

We paid $600 for the art work. My DH and DFIL painted the background colors (the blue and tan) the weekend before the artist came so that saved us a bit of money.

That is so cool! What a neat room to grow up in.

For all of you who can't get an artist you can still do a mural, use a projector or one of the projectors you get at the craft store that you just set on top of a picture. Outline it on the wall and paint with acrylics. My friend did her son's room this way with nursery rhyme characters and it turned out so cute!

What a beautiful room. I wish I had thought of something like that for one of my boys.

Oh my gosh I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
That is just amazing!!!!!
Great.... now my husband will want one!!!!!!!

I love it.. My husband is also a artist and has done wall murals in the past..By the way you got a real good deal..
