Anyone else going to Mouse Meets in Birmingham this weekend?

Yes we had a great time, there were lots of very interesting talks and guest speakers. The high light for me was a fantastic Q&A with Disney Legend Bill Farmer the voice of Goofy and Foghorn Leghorn. His talk was great.

There was a private screening of Beauty and the Beast at the Electric Theatre which is the oldest cinema in the UK and that was geat fun.

I gave a talk on how to become a DLP shareholder and what savings you can make by being one. There was lots of pin trading done in the pin trading room, and there was lots for the children to do with a packed childrens activity schedual.

But a major part of the fun was just hanging around with other Disney fans and going out for meals and drinks in the evenings and listening to everyones own Disney holiday and collecting experiances.

The quiz was very hard but the team we were in came second (due to our DLP knowlege) and Sharon enjoyed the Disney Karaoke session at the end of the convention.

Around £2,300 was raised at the charity auction for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, which was very good news and everyone there was looking forward to next years event too!

It's always nice to meet with like-minded folk to chat about everyone's Disney experiences, I love going to the Tony Romas UKCB meal every year.

I've only ever made it the once to the Tony Romas meal due to DW shifts at the hospital. But that was great fun too. Going to have to try and make it next year.
