OT: MGM little lizard

They're fun to watch for. Along the bike/jogging path between WL and FW, there are dozens (if not hundreds!) of them! I remember riding/running through there, and seeing them dart off to the sides of the trail. Felt like I was in Jurassic Park or something.

A regular DVC Board poster, Lenshanem, had one in her room at Old Key West recently. While the lizards are cute, Shan certainly didn't want to go to sleep with the little guy amok in her room. They had a heck of a time but finally managed a "catch and release." My kids love these but have never been able to catch one. We like to sit real still at the Old Key West pools and watch them run out, snatch an ant, and dart back into the landscaping. We don't have these in Indiana so, like armadilloes, they are fascinating to us.

DD actually brings them into the room ! we had one in or room for about 4 days. It escaped from its 'house'. I make her let them go soon after she catches them.

Surprisingly I've never seen one at WDW but I wasn't looking for them. I did, however, see several at the pool at Hyatt in MCO. They took me by surprise!

funkbucket007, I'm glad you said something to those rude kids! I would have been very upset seeing that too. Heck, I'm upset just reading about it!

One year I saw a 'herd' of them around the little train village display in Epcot. It looked like the set for a monster movie with the lizards hanging all over the miniature buildings. They weren't there in January this year and I was quite disappointed.

Our kids thought they were the greatest and spent a lot of time trying to catch one-thankfully they did not!
Being from Canada we definately don't have anything like this, so it was kind of cool to see...once I realized they climbed I was always worried they would fall out of the trees on to my head
