Wasn't sure where to post, but was curious if any Disers ever stayed at Massanutten Resort?? Thoughts?? Advice??

We stayed there once in an exchange we used from my step-mother. The resort was nice, but sort of out of the way. Because we were not owners, we were given a condo that did not have a stove, including no oven, and every thing we cooked was cooked on a hot plate. Plus, the rooms had thin curtains and faced east, so at 6:00 every morning in August, we were wide awake because we couldn't sleep, it was like someone left all the lights on. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn't take it any more.

We took the tour, now I'm not sure why because we didn't get anything, and I would say if I lived there and was looking for a place to get away for a week or 2, I might have bought. However, we live in northwestern PA., so it's too far. I would like to have control over where I stayed. The pool area was beautiful, and there was a kid's playground, too. I guess I'm not too bitter because it was free.

We're going for a weekend timeshare tour in 4 weeks. They do have an indoor water park for an extra charge. If no one offers up any more info, I can let you know when we get back.

We visited Massanutten on a timeshare tour. Don't waste your time.High pressure salesmen who start at $20,000 and after saying no repeatedly offered us 2 weeks for $5500.It still would not have been worth it.We decided it was really a "mass of nothing" in the middle of nowhere.
