OT - Looking for recommendations for Home Security System

Hi there,
I am looking for advice on a good Home Security System. I know, locks, dogs, neighbours, etc. are the best...but besides these, can anyone tell me their experience with Home Security Companies.

We'v had good luck with ADT.

When we lived in Victoria we used Brinks. The monitoring centre was in Texas, but it was always great to deal with. Also the installation tech was super, did a good job and cleaned up after himself. When we moved and had it reinstalled at our new house, he found signs of a carpenter ant infestation that our house inspection had missed. If it hadn't been for him, I don't know how much damage they would've done before we figured it out...so I'm really partial to Brinks, though they don't service this part of NS. (But we live across the street from the police chief, so I figure any criminal would be really, really stupid to hit us...)

We also have had great sucess with ADT monitored system. It includes one button fire or police or ambulance and also includes a fire alarm.

Thanks for your recommendations. Has anyone used Alarm Force? I hear the commercials, but I'm not sure if ADT is the more reliable company?? Any advice is appreciated.

My MIL just got Alarm Force. She likes it. We have ADT and its fine too.

We use Sears Home Security. Got a good deal on the installation and the company they use was very good. After sales service has been excellent as well. I had unique requests that required alterations to the base system and they were able to accomodate me immediately by downloading the necessary changes directly to my unit.
