OT-- looking for a digital camera...

I am looking for a digital camera for my Daughter, she is turning nine at the end of the month. LOVES taking pics and I think this will be a cost saving overall... I can spend no more than $100 (just got back from Disney, I am cash strapped lol) Futureshop has a Kodak on for 89.99, but it does not come with a memory card. It is a 4.0 MP.. has anyone seen a better deal out there with all your shopping?

I usually buy her the prepaid disposable camera but I think having a digital will be better in the long run.. 8 of the prepaids is the cost of the Kodak you know?
Anyway.. tell me if you have seen anything better.. the sale is only online and it is done on the 11th. If I order it on the 11th, will it be here by the 23rd? Have you ever bought from Futureshop online?

My daughter is 12 and we bought her the Kodak C533 (5 MP) for Christmas. It was on sale for $139.00 at Staples and came with no memory card either but you can pick them up fairly cheap. She absolutely loves it!! We wanted one that was pretty simple to use for someone her age yet was a good camera.

The camera you are looking at is the exact same camera but in 4 MP. Your daughter would be more than happy with it.

I was at walmart last night and did not see anything in that price range.

Check Walmart for sure, we got media cards there for really really cheap. We got our last digital camera at all places Shoppers Drug mart. We got it on sale ( Its a kodak too) and we used all our optimum points to get some more $$ off it too. Its really easy to use for DH who cant take a picture without getting his thumb in it. It also has some great features that make it more proffesional, like b&w and sepia. We never got the recharging doc for it and just use lithium batteries which actually last quite a while.
Check out Costco too and ebay. Also Dell often has really nice camera's on for really very little money.

Just called Shoppers and their lowest price one is $159. Costco is $200+.. ebay is a good idea but I hate the thought of paying $40+ to ship like most sellers do..

try www.tigerdirect.ca they usually have some great deals. We got both of our boys a Kodak easy share last year for $80 each and memory cards you can pick up from there really cheap too. They have retail outlets in and around toronto/Miss.

for 99.97 this week (the 256 MB memory stick pro is $45)
