I have been using Hope in A Jar by Philosophy for the last several years and I love it. I buy the big 8 oz jar for $105, but am wondering if there is anything out there that is just as good for less? Also, maybe something that contains SPF too. I have SENSITIVE skin. I appreciate your help!

Not sure if it's as good, but I have sensitive skin too and I LOVE Neutrogena Healthy Skin Oil Free Moisturizer with SPF 15. It's amazing and so light, odor free. I think it's about $8 or $9 at Target, CVS, etc.

A few years ago, when I stopped working and had to tweak the budget, I had to give up my expensive hair care and facial products. Over the course of time, I have tried MANY "over the counter" brands of beauty products, and finally settled on Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture - Sensitive Skin. It is alcohol free, fragrance free and hypoallergenic. I must say that it does a really good job, especially considering the cost savings. My face is soft but not oily, and I don't get breakouts. They do make an SPF 15 version of it, but the woman who used to do my facials told me not to use anything with any SPF in it at night - that it can cause blemishes.

For what it's worth, I have been pleased with the results that my Neutrogena products have given me and my skin. Good luck! It's never easy to give up the "good" stuff! :-)

Bath and body works body butter I swear by it. And my baby son loves to feel my skin after I put it on and it smells wonderful in many scents :thumbsup2

I have sensitive skin as well and BK (before kids) would drop $80 or more on a teeny tiny bottle of Idealist by Estee Lauder. That time is long past now and the best replacement product I found was Regenerist by Olay. There are several formulas; some with sunscreen or scent and some without. Some are meant for overnight, others for daytime. I really like them, they moisturize and keep my skin from getting flaky but also don't make it extra greasy in a humid climate. And I really love that I can get a giganto container at Sam's Club for about $20!! Good luck!:goodvibes

I too have really sensitive skin and use the Dermalogica range. I think you have to buy it in salons but it is fantastic.

If you have an Origins counter or store nearby go check out their Perfect World White Tea line. The moisturizers are unbelievable, especially the White Tea skin guardian (I think that's the name, comes in a small pump tube). It's intended to be used underneath a regular moisturizer but I use it on a clean face, underneath sunscreen (I'm very fair). A tiny dollop is enough for your whole face & there's no greasiness, just softer skin. I buy the large tube (45$) and it lasts me over a year.

The women at the Origins counters are usually very happy to give you samples of just about anything, especially the Perfect World guardian. That's how I discovered it & have been using it for years.

For the rest of me I like the Origins Ginger Souffle (it's like the Body Shop body butters only fluffier & in a larger container). As with all of the Origins stuff a little seems to go a long way so even though it's pricey, it lasts for ages.

Hope this helps!

Aveeno positively radiant moisturizer (for day) and Aveeno positively ageless creme (at night)

I can't live without my Mary Kay Timewise moisturizer! They do have a version with SPF15 plus it has anti-aging benefits. It's very reasonably priced; each bottle lasts about 3 months!
They also have a Tinted moisturizer with SPF20, which is nice for summer/vacations or days when you want a little coverage but don't want to put on foundation. You can go to Marykay.com and enter your zip code to find a consultant in your area.

Clinique Dramaticallly Different...runs about $25-30 and comes in all types--sensitive skin, etc. Love it.

Thank you all for your recomendations! I am glad to know there are quite a few less expensive/good options out there. Looks like I will be taking a trip to the store :)
