OT: Just got back from Toy Story double feature in 3D!

I do think though, that if 3D movies are going to get more and more common, you should be able to keep your 3D glasses and use them again and pay less.

Our theater lets us keep the 3D glasses (they don't want them back; no receptacle to drop them in). However, there is no discount for BYOG (Bring Your Own Glasses).

The price difference between a regular movie and a 3D movie is $3.50. Most likely they pay a lot less than this for these glasses, making the glasses a profit center. Could explain why you'll never see a BYOG price.

We saw it today. I was hesitant to go (even though I love both the movies) because of the cost. We went to the first show of the day so it was a discounted $8.50 per person. I am so glad we decided to go. It was really done so well. I figured every once in a while there would be a 3D effect, but like PPs have said, the whole movie was done, really well. I was very impressed.

I was pleased that the 3D glasses fit just fine over my regular glasses!
I forgot they were on. When I got up to go to the restroom, I got a few weird looks in the lobby! :cool2:

Our matinee prince was $12.00 each. That's the most I have ever paid for a movie. Yikes!

The 3D glasses fit just fine over my glasses and also DS6 glasses. Did not bother him a bit!

Both my sons went through a Toy Story phase, I have to have seen it a thousand times (not exaggerating either).

It was so awesome seeing the movie. My DS9 had out grown the toy story movie but LOVED it in 3D. I was in a very happy mommy place watching it with my 2DS today!! It was fantastic and VERY magical!!

:cloud9:

We went Sunday afternoon. It was really good. The detail is amazing as I noticed things I had not seen before.

We saw it over the weekend and LOVED it! It brought back a lot of happy memories for our son who is now 15. These were his all time favorite movies and we enjoyed it so much:thumbsup2

I'm going to go a bit off topic...

I saw "Cloudy with Chance of Meatballs" in IMAX 3D on Friday. All I have to say is this:

Wow.

There is nothing like that. The visuals & sound were outstanding. Also, there were 2 Disney previews in IMAX 3D: Alice in Wonderland & Christmas Carol. If those films are in IMAX 3D, see them like that.

My biggest problem is that these kids movies have scary 3D previews - my kids were nervous to put the glasses back on once the movie started. That also happened when we saw "Meet the Robinsons" in 3D and there was a 3D preview for "Nightmare BF Xmas." Not nice to freak kids out like that.

I am thinking of taking the boys next Monday.
However I am concerned that my 6 year old won't be able to sit through the double feature.
