OT--Just for Paul

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife." :rolleyes1

Impressive! A very chick flickish quote, but impressive nonetheless!! :lovestruc

Ok, yeah, I've never seen Goodfellas.

I frequently quote movies and Alf (which is kinda disturbing when I say it outloud).

Sorry hunny, I am with Paul 110% on this one. I HATE clowns.

OMG! Warning please????????! That is the SCARIEST clown ever! And I am scared of all clowns!

Speaking of Pride and Prejudice, guess what I bought today to finally read?? :rolleyes1

Pride and Prejudice? Wuthering Heights?

I am starting on Wuthering Heights tonight - can't believe I haven't read it before?!?!?!

I'm so glad Tonya is my sister wife. Some to share my love of Jane Austen with!!!

We'll make our DH watch the A&E/BBC version next time we see him. :rolleyes1;) All 5 and a half hours of it. :yay:

It's the benchmark for all chick flicks!!!

I think I found new friends! I'm a HUGE Jane Austen fan! :)

Kathy and I LOVE P&P - especially Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. :rolleyes1 We haven't branched out to discuss Jane's other works yet but we can probably be convinced to do so. :thumbsup2

C'mon now wifey, I bet you can completely recite Pride & Prejudice!! :lmao::lmao:

I can! (well most) :goodvibes

I read Emma at school, and of course P&P, I need to read some more! I am currently making my (male) housemate watch the BBC version. Making is a bit strong a word, he keeps nagging me to watch the next episode!

Pride and Prejudice!!!

You're gonna love it!!! I still get nervous about whether Elizabeth and Darcy will get together each time I read or see it. :cutie: And I have read/seen it countless times.

I love how this thread has gone from scary clowns to Goodfellows to Pride and Prejudice. Nothing like a good transitional highjack. :thumbsup2:goodvibes

I've been wanting to read it for soooooo long but I've never gotten around to it!! Today I saw it in Wal-mart for $3 and couldn't resist!!

I love Pennywise! (okay, who's surprised?)

And who knows the connection between IT and Rocky Horror Picture Show? C'mon, easy one.

Unbelievable. We start with scary clowns, hard edged Tommy DeVito, and now it's sensitive pudding. Yikes! :rolleyes1

Ahhhhh, a guy reference to a movie. Should have known except usually it is a Godfather reference. What is it about men and quoting movies? They all seem to be able to do it. :confused3

So can some men... ;)

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife." :rolleyes1

An unhappy alternative is before you, Elizabeth. From this day you must be a stranger to one of your parents. Your mother will never see you again if you do not marry Mr. Collins ... (pause for effect) and I will never see you again if you do.

Sense and Sensibility is a fave, and both Emma's, though the Kate Beckinsale version is slightly better IMHO (especially because it...has Kate Beckinsale )

Tim Curry :thumbsup2

I like Rocky Horror, I have had to lead the Timewarp on many occasions!

Do you have any man cards left Jason?? :rotfl: Love the quote though!

You fellas are crazy...

Great requote from a great movie Jorge! Between "What am I some kind of clown here to make you laugh" and "So, you like movies about gladiators" those are my top two most often quoted lines.
