OT: just bought a Wii

I bought a Wii earlier this year and put it back for Christmas (boy THAT was hard!!) So far, it came with Wii sports and Mario Smash Bros Brawl (I think that is what it is called). We bought over the course of the last few months Pokemon Battle Revolution (for my 9 yo) Batman Lego (for my 7yo) and Disney Princess for my DD. Since that was only 19.99 I plan on going out soon and buying the new Littlest Pet Shop Wii game because she absolutely LOVES Littlest Pet Shops!! (This game is only 39.94 at Wal-Mart so between the 2 for her it is still cheaper than what the boys will have.)
They are going to be so excited this Christmas because they have wanted a Wii for a long time but I could never find one- it was always a day late, a dollar short!

Thank you ... I have soooo many ideas now :) I am so excited that I got one and am dying to get it out too! But alas, mommy must be patient!!!

My oldest did see one at Toys R Us and she casually said "oh maybe I'll ask Santa for one of those" (yeah!!)... I didn't even know she knew what it was :) She has a DS and that seemed like our extent of knowledge about video game systems :D ... but then she came to me later and said, I know what I"m asking Santa for ... "a guitar" (she saw a nice Hannah Montana one - regular guitar with the name on it) ... don't know if that will change or not. She is a musical kid, so that has probably caught her eye ... sigh ... what do you do?? LOL

Even if she doesn't ask for one, we are getting one as a family anyways ;)

We got a Wii back in July and my DS8 and DD (almost 6!) love the Sports games, their favorites are tennis and bowling. My son likes Mario Galaxy a lot but when daughter tries to play she finds it too hard. I'll be buying new games for the holiday, so far we've been renting to find out what they really enjoy, Ravin Rabbits (sp?) was a big hit as well.

DD 7 and DH play mario kart online at least weekly. They love seeing all the countries where other players are from. It's very cool.

We all also love Wii Fit, but you'd have to get the board as well. I like big brain academy because I'm not an arcade game kind of person. I have sims castaways, but it doesn't really do it for me. We're looking at some "easy" games for dd for christmas, because she has a tough time with pressure (that's why she only plays mario with dad). We have the disney princess adventure also, but we did have to help her with a lot of it.

DH just got wii ski for bday, but he hasn't tried it yet. Tiger Woods 2009 is very cool because he can play online with three other people.

He likes Madden football - I believe it's very similar to any other football video game.

You'll love your wii!
