OT: Is anyone else really sick of winter

I've spent the last 5 years in Minnesota, after living my whole life in Louisiana. You'd think I'd be used to the winter by now. I can handle the cold, it's the snow and ice I can't stand. Seriously, after having to shovel every time it snows only to have to go out and shovel again the next day, or sometimes later that afternoon, is really annoying me.

I enjoy winter and want at least one more really big snow before it is over. They keep saying we are getting some snow but then they push back when it will get here. I think if they keep saying it is coming they know they will be right eventually.

I think the problem with why you all in Ohio aren't getting it, is because there is none left by time it has hit Virginia! We are now on our 3rd really big snow and if we get what they are saying we will have accumulated since mid-December 40+ inches of snow. That isn't counting all of the rain we had right after Christmas (which thank goodness it wasn't cold enough for that to be snow or that total would be 60+ :faint:)

I guess we got spoiled with all of the mild winters we've had the last 10 years and are making up for lost snow. :sad2:

Our winter has been very tolerable in MI this year. It has not snowed too much at all. It has been really nice! It is February though, and that is a great thing... in March we start to sort of see the light of spring, and in April we often have nicer weather. May-september are usuall great! There is a light!

Add me to the "sick of winter" crew - we got almost 21 inches of snow here in Western PA since Noon yesterday. What makes it worse is that they only predicted 4-8 inches. The snow stopped mid-day, but no sign of the snow plows yet. I'll be spending my afternoon shoveling the sidewalk and driveway.

I was sick of winter in December! Too bad I returned from WDW almost a week ago.

Hey, BlueCruiser, we had the opposite problem in Jersey. They predicted like 8-10 inches here, every sports or doctor appt event was cancelled, and we got...NOTHING! :lmao:

Sorry you had so darn much snow. Hope you are cozy at home now:goodvibes

I've lost track of how many blizzards we have had this year in Iowa...snow has been on the ground since Thanksgiving. Couldn't even get away from it in January when we went to Disney - snowed a bit when we were there!!
